What's under the footrest?

One of the best chairs in our house is the recliner. By far, it is the most comfortable seat in the house. One of the reasons it is so comfortable is how it lays back and the foot rest pops up. It doesn't take long before you nestle in and settle down for a nap.

Invariably, when this happens, one or two of our dogs will find their resting place smack dab underneath that footrest. They seem to find peace in knowing that they are safe and sound near their master, under our feet, while reclined in that reclining chair.
ISAIAH 66:1 Thus says the Lord, "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?"

The scripture says God’s captain chair, His throne, is in heaven… and His footstool is right here on earth! This planet is God’s footstool. That means everything – the mountains, the rivers, oceans, your home, are under His feet…but, more than that, our problems, our worries, our fears – they are all under His feet as well!

So we got to just stop worrying and just relax – kick up our feet, and rest in Him, give those problems over to Him and realize that every issue we deal with is truly under His feet!

Amen...resting in Him...I love the imagery of all my problems and worries being under His feet!
