THANKFUL THURSDAY...don't push my buttons!

Good Morning...sorry my TT post is up late, I tried all night last night to upload it but our server was done. Technology is great until it isn't convenient for us! lol

What is the first thing you do when you get on an elevator? Push buttons, right? Sometimes I push the wrong button and I end up going to the wrong place. In life, people can really push my buttons!

It's like being caged up in that small elevator, when I am frustrated with button pushing people I just can't seem to escape them. Even though I get frustrated with these button pushing people in my life, God understands them and loves them and is patient with them.

2 Corinthians 6:17 "Come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord!"

I may not understand why people have the need to push my buttons, but I do know that I can entrust them to God and that I can walk away differently, just like I can walk out of an elevator differently than how I walked in.

Today, I am thankful for the button pushers in my life. lol That's right. Because without them, my patience could not grow and I would not depend on God to mold me in such a way that I too would not become a button pusher!

What are you grateful for today? Join up with us today for THANKFUL THURSDAY!

**check back later to link your TT post up in Mr Linky ... we are having problems this morning. Or leave your link in the comments and I will try to link you up later) thanks!

I needed this reminder today. My buttons have been getting pushed a lot and I need to reframe the brain to be grateful in all things and to better develop the virtues God wants me to. Thank you.

Wow thanks Laurie for the great reminder that we need to have our buttons pushed in order to grow in certain areas of our lives.

Beautiful post! I've not done too well in this department - my button seem to be pushed a bit too often and I wind up cranky instead of grateful.

People push my buttons a lot lately - I think it's more my stage in life and hormones reacting than the people themselves. It's so hard to be thankful when you feel as if everyone around you is against you. You have great advice.

Button-pushers seem to prove the adage tat "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." But it seems that so often, I don't feel very "ready" when that button-pusher appears!

Oh, yes, the button pushers. Well, yes, "Thank you, Lord, for my personal button pushers, who You have placed in my life to work Your sweet spirit and character into me, and sand off all of those rough edges! I am reminded, Lord, that You had quite a number of these special people in Your life here on earth, too. Thank You, for living a life so that we can follow in Your steps, and for also giving us the way, by Your power."
And thank you, Laurie, for an excellent post!
Blessings,

I seem to have more buttons than I used to, or maybe my kids are just better at pushing them. In any case this is a good reminder to be thankful that God continues to work in us to accomplish His purpose in us. My link is:
