Few things are more sad than seeing a less-than cheerful Christian. We are approaching the season of giving. The stores are already decorated. The radio is already playing the Christmas songs. This is a season of joy, love and laughter but yet the busyiness of it all can make us walk around with long faces.
Jesus Christ promises us a life of abundance and joy, but He will not force His joy upon us. We must seek it and receive it. It is a gift that beats out all other gifts. Without the joy of the Lord, it is difficult to be a cheerful giver. Why not give from your heart this holiday season, it may just put some "cheer" back into the season of giving.

Amen, amen.
Oh this is soo true. I believe the enemy does everything in his power to steal our joy every chance he gets. If you get the chance check out my latest post as I told of his big effort (that failed Praise God) to steal it from me this week. True joy comes from Him and as you know is so different from happiness. So many don't understand this I am afraid. Thanks so much for my daily dose of wisdom from Laurie, I have come to look forward to it so. Have a great week-end. Blessings, Debbie
