When Jesus began His ministry on earth, He did not say, "I am God, serve Me and do as I say." No, He did better than tell others how to treat others, He showed them!
He forgave, He showed mercy and grace, He prayed for others, He served others, He helped the poor and He healed the sick. And if that's not enough, you can see throughout the entire Bible, especially the New Testament, how the life of Jesus exemplified how to treat others.
"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:16
How we treat others, whether that's good or bad, is a reflection of our relationship with God. We cannot have a growing relationship with Christ and not treat others well, with the love of God.
So, if you want others to treat you how you treat them...treat them like Christ treats you; with love, forgiveness and grace.
Excellent word, today! I am just north of you in MO. Have a blessed day. Mrs. C
