DAILY DEVO...When life feels like a potato

Last night I was peeling potatoes, as I reached in the bag for the last one, I saw how little it was. It was just a runt, hardly worth peeling. So I set it aside.

"Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? But now be strong, O Zerubbabel," declares the Lord. -Haggai 2:3-5

Some of us are like Zerubbabel, feeling too small to be used by God.

The Bible says that we should not despise the day of small things because God's work is not done in size, "not by might nor by power but by His Spirit, says the Lord!"

When we only see the small potatoes in life, we miss the chance for God to do something HUGE!

God has us where we are for a reason. No matter how small or despised that place may feel, God can bring a HUGE blessing out of it. We just have to see outside the box.

? for today...what makes you feel like a small potato?

Trust God with the small stuff and see your faith grow with the even bigger stuff!
