I love watching a young mother with her baby. The interaction between the infant and the mother is one of total trust. A baby never questions his mother when she buckles him in his car seat. He never asks, "Why are you taking me there?" Instead, the baby just sits back in his car seat and trusts that wherever his mother takes him, he will be safe.
This is the same kind of trust that we should have with our Heavenly Father...
"One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother Him. But when Jesus saw what was happening, He was very displeased with His disciples. He said to them, 'Let the children come to Me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you, anyone who doesn't have their kind of faith will never get into the Kingdom of God.' Then He took the children into His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them." (Mark 10:13-16)
A child has complete security in knowing that his parents love him and will take care of him. He has no worries. No concerns. No reason to doubt. This is the kind of child-like faith that can give us complete trust in the One Who cares so deeply for us.
Aren't you thankful that we have a Heavenly Father that we can trust in? Completely. It's much simpler than we try to make it. Trust Him and put your child-like faith into action!

ReplyDeleteHi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteThank God for loving us and truly we need to trust in Him completely with a child like faith, trusting in His love and sovereignty in our life. Though we go through many ups and downs just like everyone else, our greatest comfort is that God loves us and is with us through all the changing scenes in life, working all things for His glory and our good.
The Lord just brought an elderly lady whom I know, who has child like faith, to a closer walk with Him and she was just baptised last Lord's day! Praise Him! I pray God may give me a child like faith to always trust in Him completely.
Thanks for sharing with us. Take care and Happy Thankful Thursday!
Warm regards,
Nancie

ReplyDeleteI haven't participated in Thankful Thursday this month, and last night I wasn't sure what I would write. After reading your post, it caused me to reflect upon my own faith. Therefore, my post is similar.

ReplyDeleteHi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful post. God is a loving Father, and can be trusted completely.
It just took me a long time to realize that.
Blessings to you!
Have a happy day, Laurie. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so thankful that although I may fail as a parent, no matter how much I love my children, He never fails! Thanks for sharing this today, and for hosting TT this week...
ReplyDeleteSo great to read this. We talked about childlike faith today in Bible study! It's so easy as adults to try to take things into our own hands instead of trusting our Heavenly Father with everything!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here!!!HugsDena
ReplyDelete"May the light of Jesus continue to shine through you and all that you do..."
i'm so glad to have been able to post another TT. it's been a while. we should all have child-like faith. i wanted this because when we ask our Father for something, like a child, you He listens. and when He says He give it to us, like a child, we wait very expectantly. it's so simple with children. i rally hope it will be that simple to us too.
