We all know that it is just common sense to stop and look both ways before crossing the street. We learned this when we were very young. Often times though, we get into such a hurry that we step off of the curb alittle too soon and find ourselves right smack dab in the line of traffic.
This is exactly what happens to us when we do not stop and wait upon God! We take a step forward and WHAM! the enemy runs us over. Why don't we just obey the laws of the road? You know ... the law that tells us to trust in the Lord and wait for His leading and directing instead of stepping out before we pray, or before we believe or even before we trust Him!
ISAIAH 40:31 "Wait upon the Lord and He will renew our strength."
Are you waiting upon the Lord today?
or have you stepped off of the curb without looking?
I am waiting patiently upon the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI have learned the HARD way that it is best to wait on the Lord. Like to say I never step off that curb, but unfornately I still do occasionally in my haste and folly. Good thing He is ALWAYS there to pick me up. Have a wonderful week-end Laurie. Hugs, Debbie
ReplyDeleteIt is tough but I am waiting patiently. I have learned my lesson not to step off the curb without Him!
