Today, the chatter over AT THE WELL is about PRAISE.
More specifically, the discussion questions are:
Who or what is "most high" in your mind and heart today?
Is it the Most High, or someone or something else?
Is it the Most High, or someone or something else?
YYYYYYYYYY
PRAISE to me is not dependent on what my circumstances may or may not be.
Giving praise to my Wonderful, Almighty, Loving Heavenly Father does not come and go from my lips based upon having a "good day" or a "bad day".
Each day with the Lord is a day to be welcomed.
Another day to give Praise.
Another opportunity to give honor where honor is due.
There is nothing more beautiful than to usher in God's presence in song. Whether it is in a beautifully sung worship song, or an instrumental melody. But the best form of worship is just opening our mouths and DOING IT.
Now that must be music to God's ears!

I love the first sentence! Sometimes I let my circumstances determine my praise and attitude!! I've missed reading your blog,Laurie!!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Laurie. I have learned that who God is is not dependent on our cirumstances, so praise should be offered regardless. It's so freeing and just humbling to be able to praise Him anytime during any situation, good or bad. Great post!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful praise. It brings us back to our true focus.
ReplyDeleteBlessings Always
Amen, beautiful thought that it is not about us or how we feel, but it is all about Him! Wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteI love your word picture! Worship music is so important to me. When I feel heavy hearted or just need to retreat from it all, I will turn on my praise and worship music and bask in His glory for a while. My heart becomes refreshed and my spirit renewed!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us At the Well for today's discussion.
Blessings,
Jenifer

Laurie, this is so true! Praise is an avenue that goes straight to God,...and ushers us into His presence.
ReplyDeleteI want to praise God for everyone's prayers for me yesterday. My party went well and God did give me grace,..to get everything ready, and grace to be a caring hostess. I even enjoyed myself,...and was happy to be able to help my daughter get her business started.
God is good!,...all the time!!!
Blessings,
Linda
